Data visualisation and overview of electricity production and consumption.

The beginning of the story

Hradec Králové Technology Centre had photovoltaic data and individual consumption points only in Excel and lacked a tool that would visualise how production and consumption complement each other. Manual comparison in spreadsheets did not give a quick answer to where surplus arises during the day and where energy is lacking, and the spreadsheets did not allow monitoring the situation in fine 15-minute intervals.

What we worked on

Excel data import for electricity production and consumption with 15-minute granularity.
Producer and consumer records, including details such as address, EAN, meter number and responsible person.
Production and consumption charts in monthly, weekly and daily views, with the ability to zoom in to individual intervals.
Interval balance table, where each record shows whether there was a surplus or deficit.
Role management by the administrator, who sets user access and manages producers and consumers in the system.

Result

The Energy Optimiser gives Hradec Králové Technology Centre an overview of how photovoltaic production and consumer consumption correspond over time. The user simply selects a producer and one or more consumers and immediately sees where energy surplus arises and where production does not cover consumption.
