Web Application for Comparing Banking Products
An independent bank fee calculator built on the scientific model of doc. Ing. Ivan Soukal, Ph.D.

The beginning of the story
In collaboration with doc. Ing. Ivan Soukal, Ph.D. from the Faculty of Informatics and Management at the University of Hradec Králové and his scientific model for stochastic comparison of bank fees, the Srovnejsito.eu project was created. A web application that helps users choose the most suitable bank account based on their real behaviour, without favouring any particular bank. The goal was to translate the scientific model into the form of a clear and easy-to-use calculator.
Key benefits
- Stochastic component ensures a more accurate estimate of cost variability by evaluating ATM withdrawals as a random variable with a Poisson distribution.
- Independence and fairness, the application has no ties to any bank and results are not skewed in favour of any particular institution.
- Ability to edit products by the administrator for easy adjustment of account parameters according to current fee schedules.
What we worked on
- Implementation of the scientific statistical function, translating the research of doc. Ing. Ivan Soukal, Ph.D. into a working calculator with a stochastic component.
- Web application development, including the design and implementation of the web interface for easy access to bank account comparisons.
- Calculator with questionnaire, internet banking, mobile banking, international payments, branch visits...
- Bank Products section with an overview of banking services, account usage, payment cards, ATMs, international payments, communication with the bank and more.
Result
The collaboration with doc. Ing. Ivan Soukal, Ph.D. resulted in an independent comparison application built on a scientific model, giving users objective bank account recommendations without favouring any institution. The combination of light blue and white and the Inter font creates a trustworthy and clear environment in which the user moves through the calculator without visual distraction.
